Pastor Shannon T. Oliver is the son of Iseriah and Jenny Oliver. Born August 24, 1959 in Houston, Texas, he attended public schools in the Houston Independent School Districts.

Upon completion of High School, Pastor Oliver continued his education and entered Jarvis Christian College in 1978. He later transferred to Union Baptist Bible College and Seminary in 1984 where he received his Bachelor degree in Theology from Gospel Ministries Outreach Theological Institute.

Pastor Oliver met and married the love of his life, Mrs. Lora Kinner-Oliver. The have two sons, Christopher and Isaac. First Lady Oliver is a native of Tennessee born to Floyd and Versie Kinner. Upon completion of High School, she attended Russ College where she earned her Bachelor in Finance.

Pastor Oliver announced his call to the ministry of Preaching on February 15, 1985 under the leadership of the late Pastor T.T. Williams and was ordained in 1991.

Prior to Preaching the Gospel, Pastor Oliver served in various positions: Men’s Sunday School Instructor, treasurer for the I.M.B.G.A of Tex.as Brotherhood Instructor, Facilitator for Deacons training. He also taught Leadership Development to various church leaders throughout the city.

He served on the board of Texas Southern University Social Works Program. Texas Southern University adopted and implemented his marriage training curriculum for their social works program with emphasis on Prevention against Domestic Violence. Pastor Oliver is the Founder and CEO of Life Lifting Ministries(LLM). LLM focus on leadership development from a biblical perspective.
